What is the Deepam 2.0 Scheme?
Deepam 2.0 is an Andhra Pradesh state government program under the Maha Sakthi welfare package. The state provides three free 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder refills each financial year to eligible households holding a White Rice Ration Card.The program works with the existing oil marketing companies (Indane, Bharat Gas, and HP Gas). Eligibility Criteria
To receive free cylinders under Deepam 2.0, an applicant must meet these requirements:
- Permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- The primary applicant must be a female family member aged 18 years or older.
- The household must hold an active White Rice Ration Card issued by Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies.
- The family must have an active domestic 14.2 kg LPG connection with Indane, Bharat Gas, or HP Gas.
- Only one connection per ration card unit is eligible for the subsidy.
- The beneficiary's bank account must be active, Aadhaar-linked, and enabled for NPCI/DBT payments.

Who is Not Eligible
The following categories do not qualify for the scheme:
- Households holding Pink ration cards (non-BPL / above poverty line).
- Commercial, industrial, 5 kg, or 19 kg cylinder connections.
- Duplicate connections within the same household (only one verified connection receives the subsidy).
- Households without an active White Rice Ration Card or whose cards were removed during de-duplication.
- Families where any member is a regular government employee or income tax payer.
- Families permanently residing outside Andhra Pradesh.
Annual Quota Cycles and Deadlines
The three free cylinders are allotted across three four-month blocks each financial year:

Quotas do not carry over. If a beneficiary does not book and take delivery of a refill within a four-month cycle, that cycle's free cylinder lapses.

How to Book Your Cylinder and Receive the Subsidy
Existing White Ration Card holders with a domestic LPG connection do not need a new application. Eligible connections are mapped automatically through Civil Supplies and distributor records.
Step 1: Book the Refill
Book using any standard distributor channel:

- When the delivery executive arrives, check the cylinder weight and seal.
- Share the 4-digit Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) received on your registered phone.
- Pay the retail amount on the cash memo (cash or UPI).
- The delivery agent enters the DAC into their terminal to confirm receipt.
Step 3: Subsidy Credit
- The distributor transmits the delivery confirmation to the Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies DBT portal.
- The state government transfers the subsidy directly into the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account.
- An SMS confirmation with the transaction reference number is sent once the transfer completes.
