About the Platform
The government previously had dozens of scattered websites for different skill schemes (PMKVY, apprenticeships, ITIs). The Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) was launched to unify everything. It is a massive Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) platform (available as a website and a mobile app) where anyone can register, take free online/offline courses, and get hired.

- Digital Verifiable Credentials (DVCs): Gone are the days of paper certificates. When you complete a course through SIDH, you get a tamper-proof digital certificate in your dashboard. If you share this with an employer, they can scan the QR code to instantly verify it is real.
- The Digital CV / "Skill Wallet": Your profile on SIDH acts as a portable CV. You can generate a personalized QR code for your profile. Print this QR code on a piece of paper—when a company scans it, they see your government-verified skills, education, and Aadhaar-verified identity.
- AI Chatbot (SIA): You don't even need to use the app to find courses. The Skill India Assistant (SIA) is a WhatsApp AI bot. You can text it in Hindi, English, or Hinglish to find local job fairs or courses.

- Download the Skill India Digital App from the Google Play Store or visit the website.
- Enter your mobile number.
- The e-KYC Step (Crucial): To get verified certificates, you MUST complete Aadhaar e-KYC. Enter your Aadhaar number and authenticate with the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
- Fill out your education and interests. The AI algorithm will now start recommending localized courses and job openings.
